These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TaxExpertConnexia (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.

The directory

TaxExpertConnexia is a platform that connects members of the diaspora with tax and accounting professionals. We do not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice, and listing on the directory is not an endorsement. Any engagement between a member and a professional is solely between those parties.

Professional listings

Professionals are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, holding all required licenses and qualifications, and complying with the rules of their regulatory bodies. We may review, suspend, or remove listings that violate these Terms or our Code of Conduct.

Payments

Paid memberships and listing fees are billed as described at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, fees are non‑refundable. We may change pricing on a going‑forward basis with notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by posting unlawful or misleading content, infringing others’ rights, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the platform. Conduct on community features is also governed by our Code of Conduct.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaxExpertConnexia is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts, advice, or services of any listed professional.

Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept them. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules.
